1. Full Members
    Fellows of the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine or its equivalent (according to the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine) with 3 years or more training in endocrine, metabolic, growth and/or nutritional disorders in children and adolescents or any professionals with a master degree with 6 years or more training in relevant area. A Full Member shall enjoy all privileges of full membership including voting right and are eligible for office of the Council.

  2. Associate Members
    Any professional who has interest in the field of paediatric and adolescent endocrinology, metabolism and nutrition. Associate members shall enjoy all the privileges of full members except that they shall not have voting right or be eligible for any office of the Council. Under exceptional circumstances, associate members who cannot fulfil the requirements for full membership of the Society may be upgraded to be full members upon the sole discretion of the Council.

    Guideline for upgrade of Associate Member to Full Member:
    1. Attain the requirement to become full member
    2. Attend regularly the Society's activities

  3. Honorary Members
    Eminent personalities in the field of paediatric endocrinology and metabolic disorders may be invited by the Council to be Honorary Members of the Society. Honorary Members shall enjoy all the privileges of full members except that they shall have no voting right nor be eligible for any office of the Council.
Application for any type of membership shall be proposed by one Full Member and seconded by another Full Member and the application shall be submitted to the Honorary Secretary for approval at the regular meetings of the Council.
The Council reserves the right at its sole discretion not to approve any application for membership without giving any reasons therefor.

  1. Annual subscription will be paid by full members, and associate members and shall be paid on the first day of January each year.
    If the subscription is not paid by the next Annual General Meeting, the defaulter shall cease to be a member unless and until the subscription in arrears has been paid up in full.
  2. Honorary members are not required to pay any subscription.
